About Us
I work with motivated individuals who are ready to stop carrying everything alone and begin doing the deeper work of healing and growth. Many of my clients are high-achieving professionals navigating trauma, ADHD, anxiety, or major life transitions while still trying to show up fully in their careers, relationships, and communities. My role is to create a space where honesty, insight, and practical tools help move people from feeling stuck to living with greater clarity, resilience, and purpose.

A few moments from work and life.
Meet Priscilla

Priscilla Francis is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Supervisor, Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor, and EMDR-trained therapist who helps individuals move beyond survival mode and into lives marked by clarity, confidence, and emotional resilience.
She is the founder of Gem Counseling & Consulting Services, a Houston-based practice established in 2018 with the mission of creating a space where people can do honest work around healing, growth, and self-discovery.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, Priscilla brings a culturally grounded and real-world perspective to her work. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice from Florida A&M University and later completed her Master’s degree in Social Work at the University of Houston.

Throughout her career, Priscilla has worked across diverse clinical settings including foster care systems, medical clinics supporting individuals living with infectious diseases, and dialysis centers serving seniors navigating complex health challenges. These experiences shaped her ability to meet people from many walks of life with empathy, insight, and practical support.

Today, her work is especially focused on individuals who appear strong and capable on the outside but quietly carry emotional weight beneath the surface. Many of her clients are high-performing professionals, leaders, and motivated individuals who are ready to confront unresolved trauma, navigate ADHD, address anxiety, and break free from patterns that keep them feeling stuck or unseen.

Priscilla’s approach blends evidence-based practices such as EMDR, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Gottman-informed strategies with a deeply person-centered style that honors each client’s unique story. She believes therapy should be both compassionate and practical, offering insight while equipping clients with tools they can apply in everyday life.

Beyond the therapy room, Priscilla participates in speaking engagements, workshops, panels, and podcast conversations focused on mental health, leadership, resilience, and personal growth. She is passionate about helping people have honest conversations about emotional wellness and believes healing should be accessible, empowering, and transformative.

Priscilla is also actively involved in ministry and community initiatives that support both spiritual and emotional well-being. Her work reflects a whole-person approach to healing, recognizing the connection between mind, body, and spirit.

Outside of her professional life, Priscilla enjoys working out, traveling, reading books that stretch her thinking, and exploring Houston’s vibrant food scene. As a New York native who now proudly calls Houston home, she enjoys discovering new spots around the city and staying connected to community.

At the heart of her work is a simple belief: when people have the right space, support, and tools, real transformation is possible.
